This is mostly for new students and parents information. The students are allowed to stay after school Thursday and be in the band room. We are not responsible for your students leaving the school grounds. They are asked to stay in the band room but sometimes the kids will walk to the gas station, we are not keeping tabs and being held liable for them leaving school grounds. They can bring a snack to eat between and drink plenty of water. They are also encouraged to do their homework while there and can maybe see if they can get help with homework from other students. If your son in going to be in symphonic band this year and still needs to be fitted for tuxes, please have them stay after school Thursday and Judy and Valerie will be there for that. Also, please send in shoe money and tux rental money, if you have not already done so. These are expenses that we must pay for up front. Please be patient with the first few days of classes and rehearsals. Things will be a little crazy at first. We will monitor the weather for this week as well to see if they will go outside or not. Make sure your child brings a change of clothes for rehearsal. They do not want to wear their school uniforms and school shoes. Thanks and we look forward to seeing their faces at school and practice this week. Christi |
